Sunny autumn day on September 14 in the Mindovsky square there was the citywide Bicycle Day, which brought together about 700 participants.

The event was organized andheld by the teams of School «Duplex», School of Design «Tochka», School «№83», School «№145», Gymnasium №10, CYC «Rifey», CYC «Istok» and Kindergarten IT world, at support of the Department of Education of the Administration of Perm.

«Bicycle Day» is a bright family holiday, an event for cyclists and everyone interested in cycling. There were classes on road safety, children’s creative contests, the performance of Young Inspectors of Road Traffic, rides on cycling and bicycles, active games for preschoolers, a street basketball tournament, a workshop on repair and proper replacement of bicycle parts, as well as a lottery of a new brand bike.

The representatives of 30 schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of the city became participants of «Bicycle Day». About 320 students and 90 kindergarten pupils became eyewitnesses and protagonists of the large-scale festival of cycling culture.

The project «To school on a bicycle» was launched. There are still many interesting and memorable events that will no doubt become useful for the city and its residents, and will also contribute to the development of the bicycle infrastructure of Perm. Recall that at the end of the summer the association of schools, namely the Duplex Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization, the Tochka School, the Secondary School No. 83, the Secondary School No. 145, the Secondary School No. 10, with the support of the Department of Education of the Administration of Perm, started a project «To school by bike». Its main goal is to popularize the bicycle as the most environmentally friendly and healthy vehicle.
